Questions and Answers: An Introduction to NeuroThink

As a child, I remember watching the moon through the car’s window and wondering why it always followed our car. I remember questioning why stars would appear at night and disappear during the day, and how clouds could change shapes so easily.

As these questions were answered, newer (more complex) ones appeared. How do those around me perceive the world, and how is it different from how I see my surroundings? Why am I right handed, and more importantly — does it mean anything? Do different people have different abilities, and why? These questions plagued my mind as I delved deeper into the world of questions and answers.

I was a very curious child, and my curiosity only increased with age. And as my curiosity increased, so did the number of questions which I wanted to be able to answer. I found more questions to research and more answers to examine. While discovering the explanations to the questions I had, I found that I had a passion for uncovering the unknown — and one of the greatest unknowns of mankind lies right within us: our brains.

Studies are being done every day, and new research is beng uncovered more often than ever before — it is an exciting time for the scientific field! This means, of course, that more of our questions can now be answered. Many people — most even, I daresay — have questions about their own functionality every day. For instance, have you ever wondered, while studying, how you can maximize your memory for better grades? And while you could find the answer in a research paper or a study, reading long and complex research papers is surely not everyone’s cup of tea.

And so, I present to you, NeuroThink: a website where you can find the answer to all of your every-day neuroscience/psych-related questions. The questions answered will likely be related to the topics of memory, intelligence, perception, cognitive abilities, dreaming, and neuroplasticity, among other equally interesting subjects.

Neuroscience is an incredibly interesting field, and the results of studies are often remarkably interesting, and oftentimes even surprising. NeuroThink aims to answer not only all of the questions that you may have, but even those that you haven’t yet thought of!
